CONTROLS

I found building the control panels to be the hardest task. They are built from 12mm MDF, these babies wont break in a hurry.


Left image shows a semi complete control player 1 side control panel. Buttons in final positions, obviously removed again before painting. The top and front face were then covered with a black self adhesive vinyl for a more "arcade" finish. I've had some trouble with the vinyl lifting so it will need re-stickign with additional glue. Right image showing wiring. All buttons, joysticks and the coin mechanism are wired into an I-Pac.



The holes in the back panels align with the original holes on the side of the cabinet used to attach the original control panels. That way there's no damage to the cabinet and I can make custom, interchangeable control panels if I want.
