20/05/20: I have started production of the Atari Jaguar rapid fire kits again. You will need some basic soldering and hacking skills to build and install into your own controller. Below is a description of the modded controllers (no longer for sale). Have a look also at the youtube clip below to see it in action. Note that the first few shots is me just holding down the fire button before turning on the rapid fire to compare rapid fire to normal fire.
If you would like to
buy a kit, they are only 25USD including postage. Note that
while airfreight is badly affected by Corona virus
disruptions, to get it to you as quickly as before would cost
over $20! So I am sending them at a letter rate, which is
cheap but as such doesn't get priority. At the time of
writing, allow roughly 6 weeks. Still, you've been waiting

"I tested RF on my PAL/NTSC consoles and it works absolutely great. I used Raiden, McFur, Zero 5 and Mad Bodies for tests. Oh yes, you can add MadBodies to the list of RF compatible games, it's much easier to play now! the workmanship. The mod is very professionally executed,
right down to having an individual serial number sticker
affixed to the rear of the pad to give each and every one
their own individuality. I was lucky enough to have received
the 'RF001'...

I'm just glad that Danny had his ear to the ground and was
listening to the Jaguars niche requirement for a dedicated
Rapid Fire controller Commander. I'm really grateful to him
for making something I had craved for, for years a reality -
and made so well too. Even you've even had the slight
inclination toward wanting such a controller, look no
further, as this is a great bit of kit!"

"I haven't toyed with
the potentiometer (is that what it is?) yet there on the
back to adjust the rate of fire, but just going off where
you had it set, the game that had the biggest improvement
was Trevor McFur. The RF Commander pretty much turned me
into a rapid-fire god with that game! I hadn't played that
game in years, but I clearly remember how difficult it is. I
first kept the rapid-fire switched off and I hardly lasted
15 seconds before I died for the first time. I switched on
the rapid-fire and it was an incredible improvement with
just holding down the B button to fire. It allowed the rest
of my fingers to concentrate on dodging the enemies and
aiming. It was quite the experience -- I doubt I'll ever
play the game without the RF Commander any more!
Raiden was also a pleasure to play with it, since it was
tuned for it out of the box. The firing was steady and just
like Trevor McFur, I lasted much longer not having played
the game in a long time. Raiden is one of my favorites and
the RF Commander definitely helps make it an even better and
more fun game!
Phase
Zero also gave it a more steady stream of firing and did
improve my game. Again, not having adjusted anything, there
could be more improvements in there that I have not
encountered.

I've always wanted a rapid-fire controller and the RF
Commander is well-built and delivers on its promise. The LED
above the B button is great for determining whether the
rapid fire is switched on or not. I'll test the adjustments
on the back out a bit and get back to you on how that has
changed the game play on various shooters, but I imagine it
will give me just the right amount of flexibility that I
want to customize the controller to the game I happen to be
playing.

"Got my RF commander today... I agree with ViMaster's review of the rapid fire, and with games like Raiden unless you are genius it definitely makes you a better player. I also tried it on Cannon Fodder and that gives much more fire power too. Jools and Jops would be proud. The mod looks professional and does not require batteries which is great...Great work Danny"
